Track Name: Gravity
Standing in the carpark, midnight
I let my hopes slip out;
Through my mouth, manifest in smoke
They drift towards the streetlamp.
Illuminate me, fluorescent light,
Pacify this opacity -
Lay pavement over crevices
And this lingering mediocrity.

Gravity;
Tugging me.

I try to push it away;
The same mistakes that I’m wearing,
As a burden, tearing holes in my sleeves -
Let it weigh down on me.

Gravity;
Always coming back to me.
Always orbiting.
Track Name: Teeth
Gnashing teeth, lock on your loose ends;
Unravel, tear at your seams -
Stitched loose with spit from their maw,
And the ravens flock for the feast.
Gnashing teeth, tongues circle lips;
To cash in when you’re ‘ugly’ or ‘weak’ -
Swallow down what they callously sing,
“Fix your eyes, fix your body and fix your head”

Can’t wear it, you can’t can't bear it.
Can’t wear it, you can’t bear this.
Can’t ride them, you can’t can't right them;
Can’t ride them, you can’t right them.

Gnashing teeth, our new mythology;
Clichés and desert psychology;
Sharper now, breaking your bones,
Clever now that you feel alone.
Gnashing teeth, so pervasively
Engrained - so sever your empathy:
From the mental wards, and the busy streets,
And your living rooms, and your TV screens.
Our “suffer” society.

Gnashing teeth, we’re choked beneath;
Feel the loving jaws of society.
Gnashing teeth, we’re choked beneath;
Feel their loving grip.
Track Name: Glide
I’ll wake one morning with eyes of ash,
I’ll wake one morning with dirt in hand.
I’ll lose myself in comfort’s relief,
I’ll wake one morning, but not from sleep.
Under shrouds, I’m coming to see -
My searing thirst is a slow consuming.
Exiled in wilderness months -
If I found what I needed,
would it be enough -

Wildering.

Glide through the days
In a stream of silence.
Glide through the nights
In hidden violence.
Glide through the days,
Glide through the nights.

I’m stealing warmth from the sun.
I’m draining rivers of their love.
I’m razing futures in the dead of night,
Absorbing everything and nothing feels right.
Track Name: Burn
I’m slipping out of my old skin
With frail prayers and apparitions.
Twin-headed, biting my own neck,
Wipe me out of your line of vision.
Crashing through these bricks and sand,
At war with myself with a bottle in hand.
Bottle, bottle in hand, bottle in hand;
I’m sliding out to my tether’s end.

Perpetual burn;
Turn in, an attempt to purge -
Perpetual burn;
From inside to out.

Slipping out of my old skin
With frail prayers and apparitions;
Twin-headed, biting my own neck,
Wipe me out of your line of vision.

Inside out, head to ground.
Walking home, fever gait.
Bottle in hand, flame at feet.
Inside out, head to ground.
Burn me out of me.
Track Name: Dents
On balconies wasting my time,
In cafes, wasting your shine,
On nails ‘cos it’s not gonna be right.
Linger on useless feeling,
Pour it in with what I yearn.
I’m drowning what I never could learn.
Like how to live with others,
and how to live with me,
so I’m burning what I never could be.

I’ve got
Dents in my eyes.

On balconies wasting my time,
In cafes wasting your shine,
On knives ‘cos I’m not gonna get right.
Linger on hollow feeling;
Dull sting in return.
I’m drowning all I never could learn.
So blind your watchmen,
And take your eyes off of me,
I’m burning all I never could be.

I’ve got
Dents in my eyes.

Can’t avoid it; call it a lack,
Carried like the sun on my back.
Dents in, my eyes.
